At last! The Official The Endless Forest Fan Art Calendar is here! After much effort, time, and work, it has been assembled and is ready for purchase. The Endless Forest is a COMPLETELY FREE multiplayer online game and social screensaver, a virtual place where you can play with your friends. When your computer goes to sleep you appear as a deer in this magical place. There are no goals to achieve or rules to follow. Just run through the forest and see what happens. The Endless Forest is more of a piece of virtual artwork then an actual game. Ever since the games funding was denied last November the game has been struggling. ToT has been busy creating their new horror game, The Path and The Endless Forest doesn't have the funding to keep on progressing like it has in the past. They need funding in order to host their server, upgrade the technology in order to keep it running, pay their 'staff' (which create the models, textures, sound, music, programming, designers, animation, etc) that create new features in the game like locations, sets, animations, etc. They do not want to charge a subscription fee to the players, because they want their 'game' to be enjoyed by everyone. Back in October, Michael Samyn and Auriea Harvey (the creators of ToT, and of course The Endless Forest) approached me and asked if I would mind creating a calendar in hopes of raising some much needed funds for the game. I have been playing the game for almost 2 years, am a forum moderator, and jumped at the chance to help them in any way I could. I posted a journal on this club and was thrilled to see many artists nominating each other and themselves to be apart of the calendar. We then held a vote, in which the players themselves picked which pieces they wanted to see in the calendar. Above are their choices! I would like to thank everyone who volunteered their beautiful artwork for this project, and to anyone who purchases this calendar. Your purchase helps to fund this extraordinary and artistic game, which we players can't thank you enough for. All funds raised go directly to ToT which will then help to fund the future of The Endless Forest! See you in the forest! All images were used with permission.
